When I cook, I don’t always have fresh herbs on hand, they always go bad too fast and to be honest, I don’t like going to the grocery store. It isn’t my favorite place to go, crazy I know. So I have a little tip for those who are the same way and only have dry herbs available that will give recipes more flavor. Instead of dumping the herb straight into the recipe, I place the right amount of herb into my hand and rub my palms together breaking up the herb as it sprinkles into the meal. This opens up the flavor making the taste more intense and delicious! I do this with parsely, oregano, italian seasoning, thyme and rosemary. Give it a try, it is amazing what this little tip can do to enhance your flavor.
